In this short video we will explore the interface of Cascade version 8. As always, we will start at cascade.msu.edu and login with your MSU NetID and password. After logging in, you will see the main dashboard. We have the Welcome section, A list of all your sites Any upcoming to-do's that you have set. Create new content section. A list of your content. Notifications that have occured. Content that should be reviewed. A link checker, And a list of stale content. The next item on the meni is the site selection tool. Use this tool to choose the site that you want to work on. You will now see more tools on the tool bar. You will also see the structure of your site on the left. First up is the Add content. We will discuss the different types of content later in this course. Next is the site content. This allows you to see all the content on your site. Next up is the Manage site tool. This will show you what administrative options you have for the site. Moving to the right, we come to My Content. This will show you only the content that you are the owner of. If more than one person manages this site, this only shows your content. Next up is the search bar. You may search for any content in your site. The more recent items are shown in the dropdown area. Your personal information and settings is the next item on the tool bar. Of the tools here you can set your default site that you see when you log in. View all your history. Create Tasks for yourself and other that also work on this site. You can also sign out of Cascade. The hamburger menu is the last item on the tool bar. This will give you help and support options. We will go back to My Content and select a page to view. We have a new menu bar to review. Here we find the tools that we had before like Edit, and Publish You can also add comments to a page or view the details of the page. The More... gives a list of other activities that we are used to seeing. Click on the Cascade C to return to the Dashboard. We will dive into more details on these tools as we progress in this course. This was the just a short overview of the new version 8 of Cascade.
